New Web Site promotes Kids Aid Organization

A marketing and communications company in Grand Junction has launched a Web site for a nonprofit organization that provides food to students in Mesa County School District 51 who otherwise would go hungry over the weekends.
Ryan, Sawyer & Whitney has launched www.KidsAidColorado.org to promote awareness and donations to Kids Aid. The group provides backpacks with food to children.
"We were astonished by the number of children Kids Aid assists. Ryan, Sawyer & Whitney wanted to help, and we hope having the Web site will boost donations and the number of children the organization can reach," said Tom Y. Sawyer, president of the firm.
Kids Aid serves a total of 1,260 students in 17 schools but 13 schools remain unserved because of lack of funds and volunteers. Kids Aid estimates that about 2,000 backpacks of food are needed each week to meet the needs of the school district.
