In July of 2009, something remarkable happened in downtown Grand Junction, Colorado. Three proven companies joined forces to create a new, more powerful marketing, advertising and business development agency. It was the melding of traditional marketing expertise with new media innovation, resulting in broader capabilities and deeper expertise. Leveraging the thousands of hours of marketing, advertising, creative and business consulting expertise of the past, the new partners moved into the future with a new name: Ryan, Sawyer & Whitney.
RSW combines the power of three companies that possessed distinctly different yet highly complementary methodologies, talents and skill sets. These companies were:
The roots of Ryan, Whitney & Company go back to 1990, the year two separate companies were founded in Grand Junction, Colorado: Ryan & Associates Advertising, a creative advertising agency, and L.A. Whitney & Associates, a marketing firm. By the mid-90's, the two companies were collaborating informally for the benefit of mutual clients. In 1998 they formally merged and spend the next 11 years building one of the Western Slope's premier marketing and advertising agencies.
A consulting company built around the proven track record and expertise of its “startup” expert and founder Tom Y. Sawyer. Tom is a Business and Technology Strategist, Coach and Author who has specialized in leading and consulting to business startups in Grand Junction since 2000.
A new style ‘hybrid’ agency, an upstart, entrepreneurial marketing company that specialized in branding development, new social media approaches, website design, and a recognition that the “rules of marketing” have changed forever.
